Overview

The Overview page is the first item in the menu and the first thing to read in the morning. It answers one question: is the operation in the state it should be in?

It is built from your own configuration: your alert rules, your zones and their keywords. There is nothing extra to set up. The day you finish writing your rules, the Overview is correct.

Most numbers on the page open the list behind them. If a tile says 2, click it to see which two.

The page refreshes itself about once a minute while it is open, so you can leave it on a screen. The time of the last refresh shows beside the Refresh button. If that time grows old, the numbers on the page are old too.

Until the workspace has its first asset or device, the page shows a short list of setup steps instead.

What needs attention

One tile per enabled alert rule, labelled with the rule's own name.

A rule that describes a condition that is still true (an asset left where it should not be, a load out of temperature range, a tag that has gone quiet) shows how many assets are breaching now, and how many cleared in the last 24 hours.
A rule that describes something that happened (a zone entry or exit, a trip that ended late) shows how many times it fired in the last 24 hours.

A rule with nothing outstanding still shows, at zero. "0 loads out of range" is the reassurance the page exists to give.

Disabled rules and notification-only rules have no tile. Above the tiles, a line shows how many alerts were raised and how many cleared in the last 24 hours, so you can see whether the team is keeping up.

When rules are paused

If no tag in the workspace has reported for seven days, rules stop being evaluated, and every tile reads zero. The page then shows a Rule evaluation paused warning above the tiles. Do not read the zeros as an all-clear. Rules start again by themselves when a tag reports.

Recent alerts and notifications

Below the tiles, two short tables show what the rules did recently:

Recent alerts: the eight latest alerts in any state (active, acknowledged or resolved). Click a row to open that alert.
Recent notifications: the eight latest notifications.

The tiles tell you whether anything is wrong now. These tables tell you what happened. Each table links to its full page.

What is moving

The pulse of the operation. It tells a quiet page apart from a page whose data has stopped arriving.

Trips in progress, and trips out and back in the last 24 hours, with a table of the latest finished trips. These tiles only appear in a workspace that has had a trip.
Zone movement: entries and exits in the last 24 hours for the busiest zone keywords. A workspace with no zone keywords sees its busiest zones instead.
Seen in the last hour: how many assets reported, and through how many hotspots or Agent devices. If the reporters have gone, nothing looks wrong only because nothing is being seen.

Where everything is

How many assets are in each zone keyword: depot 28, customer 19. This is the answer the Live map only gives if you count pins.

Other zones counts assets in a zone that has no keyword.
In no zone counts assets outside every zone.
A workspace with no zone keywords sees one tile per zone instead, with a prompt to add keywords.

An asset inside two zones with different keywords (a bay inside a yard) is counted under both keywords. Only the busiest keywords are shown. The Zones page has the full list.

What we can see

The same freshness counts as the Assets page: assets seen in the last 15 minutes, within the hour, within a day, dark (no position for over a day), never reported, and missing (no position for seven days). Each opens the Assets page filtered to those assets.

Working with the Overview

Name your rules in your own words. The tile's label is the rule's name, so "Cage left in a no-leave zone" reads better than "Dwell Time".
Keyword your zones. The movement and location bands group by zone keyword. Without keywords they fall back to one tile per zone, which stops being readable once you have many zones.
A large count is a configuration problem, not a work queue. A tile reading "1,240 assets quiet" usually means a rule is targeting more assets than it should. Narrow the rule's keywords rather than working the list.
