Activation

Pull the plastic tab on the bottom edge sideways, not downward, to detach it. The tag begins broadcasting immediately.

Registration

Scan the QR code on the tag using the Blecon Agent or a workflow. The tag is added to your workspace and appears on the live map once a hotspot detects it.

You can register the tag before or after you mount it. If you register it after, mount it with the QR code visible.

Mounting

Location

Mount the tag on a rigid, flat surface. For the best range, choose a place where the asset itself and the goods it carries do not block the tag. An outer face of the asset is usually the best place.

The orientation of the tag is not important, because its antenna transmits in all directions.

Attaching the tag

  1. Clean the surface and let it dry fully.
  2. Peel the backing off the back of the tag to expose the adhesive.
  3. Press the tag onto the surface.
  4. Do not move the tag for 15 minutes. The bond continues to get stronger over the next 72 hours.
