Networks

Organize your deployment and control how data flows. A network groups your devices together and defines where their events go — giving you a clean separation between different sites, projects, or data pipelines, all managed from one place.

What a network is

A network groups related devices and defines how their data flows. Each network has its own:

  • Devices — The Bluetooth beacons and trackers registered to this network.
  • Routes — Rules that send events to specific destinations (webhooks, AWS services, integrations).
  • Positioning settings — Configuration that controls how device positions are calculated.

Most deployments start with a single network. You might create additional networks to separate different sites, projects, or data flows.

Creating a network

  1. Open the Blecon Console.
  2. Click Create Network.
  3. Enter a name for the network.
  4. Click Create.

Network settings

Each network has configurable settings for positioning behaviour, including update frequency, accuracy targets, and coordinate systems. See Positioning settings for details.
