Supported devices

Blecon works with a wide range of Bluetooth beacons, trackers, and sensors from many hardware manufacturers. Blecon partners with device makers to enable Blecon support in their products, so you can choose the hardware that fits your deployment and swap devices without changing your infrastructure.

Device types

Smart Beacons

Blecon Smart Beacons are purpose-built tracking devices with cloud connectivity, environmental sensors, and on-device intelligence. They broadcast Bluetooth signals that hotspots detect, and the system calculates their position. Battery life is typically measured in months or years.

Smart Labels

Smart Labels are ultra-thin, disposable Bluetooth devices that combine printed electronics with BLE radios. They're designed for high-volume, item-level tracking where traditional reusable beacons are too costly or bulky — such as pallets, packages, or individual goods moving through a supply chain. Smart Labels can include sensors for temperature, humidity, motion, and light exposure, making them ideal for cold-chain and compliance monitoring.

Third-party beacons

Blecon supports standard Bluetooth beacon formats including iBeacon, Eddystone, and proprietary vendor formats. Any beacon broadcasting a supported ID format can be registered and tracked on the platform.

Embedded beacons

Hardware manufacturers can embed Blecon connectivity directly into their products using Blecon-compatible modules. This lets device makers add cloud-connected tracking and sensor capabilities to their existing product lines.

Environmental sensors

Many devices include sensors for temperature, humidity, motion, light exposure, and battery voltage. Sensor data is delivered alongside position events.

  • Zebra Technologies — The Blecon Agent turns Zebra frontline devices into mobile hotspots
  • Molex / InPlay — Collaboration on cloud-connected Smart Labels
  • MOKO SMART — Blecon-compatible smart beacon products
  • Ezurio — Bluetooth-to-cloud modules compatible with Blecon
  • Raytac, Fanstel, Insight SiP, u-blox, Panasonic, KKM — Additional module and device partners

Blecon identifies devices using standard Bluetooth identifier formats:
