Registering a development device with the Blecon CLI

If you have a development board with serial access from your PC/laptop, you can use the Blecon CLI to obtain the Device ID and quickly register the device onto a Blecon Network using the Blecon Console

Obtaining the Device ID using the Blecon CLI

During development, you can obtain the Device ID of a directly connected development board using the Blecon CLI.

1. Install the Blecon CLI and establish communication with your device

2. Run the get-identity command of the CLI and copy the Device ID

3. Create or open the desired network page in the Blecon Console

4. Paste the Device ID in the Register Device box and follow the instructions
